The University has a important role in the generation of high quality jobs and wealth for the society, but in Brazil there still a huge gap between it and the production sector. I will discus in my talk a experience that we having in Sao Carlos — SP — Brazil with start up business undertook by professors, students and technicians . In the lecture, the EMBRAPII model, whose main focus is to help companies with their demands for innovation, will be presented. In this context, it will be discussed what the EMBRAPII model is and how it has contributed to strengthen the relation between companies and accredited ICTs (EMBRAPII Units). The model is differentiated by its agility, flexibility and risk and cost reduction for companies.
